Compact Dehumidification Without Occupying Floor Space
The YTE-CDH-26L is a compact ceiling-mounted refrigeration dehumidifier designed for small commercial, technical and controlled-environment spaces where floor space is limited.
With a nominal dehumidification capacity of 26 L/day, approximately 200 m³/h airflow, automatic humidity control and continuous condensate drainage, the unit provides a practical solution for localized humidity management while keeping the floor completely clear.
Unlike portable floor-standing dehumidifiers, the YTE-CDH-26L is installed overhead. This makes it particularly suitable for storage rooms, equipment rooms, laboratories, utility spaces, small workshops, indoor agricultural facilities and other areas where available floor space is valuable.
The unit operates on AC 220V / 50Hz, with an approximate rated power input of 280–330 W, and supports a wide humidity setting range of 30–95%RH.
Space-Saving Ceiling-Mounted Design
The main advantage of the YTE-CDH-26L is its compact overhead installation.
In small rooms, placing a conventional dehumidifier on the floor can interfere with equipment, storage racks, walking areas and maintenance access. Installing the dehumidifier above the occupied area helps preserve usable floor space while maintaining continuous humidity control.
This design is particularly useful where:
- Floor space is limited
- Equipment or shelving occupies most of the room
- Continuous dehumidification is required
- A fixed drainage system is available
- The dehumidifier needs to remain out of the normal working area
The final supporting structure should always be checked to ensure that it can safely carry the installed equipment.
26 L/Day Dehumidification Capacity
The YTE-CDH-26L provides a nominal dehumidification capacity of 26 L/day and is designed primarily for small spaces and localized moisture loads.
Rather than replacing a large industrial dehumidifier, this model is intended for applications where a compact and permanently installed humidity-control solution is more appropriate.
Actual dehumidification performance depends on environmental conditions including temperature, relative humidity, ventilation rate and moisture generation.
For project applications, equipment should therefore be selected according to actual moisture load rather than floor area alone.
Intelligent Humidity Control
The YTE-CDH-26L supports a humidity setting range of:
30–95%RH
Humidity control accuracy is approximately:
±3%RH
The control system monitors room humidity and automatically manages dehumidification operation according to the selected humidity setpoint.
This allows the unit to maintain a more stable indoor humidity level without requiring continuous manual operation.
Remote Wired Controller
Because the main unit is installed overhead, the YTE-CDH-26L uses a separate wired control panel for convenient operation.
The control cable can be extended up to approximately 15 metres, allowing the controller to be installed in a more accessible location such as near an entrance, on a wall or close to other environmental-control equipment.
This arrangement allows operators to adjust the humidity setting and monitor equipment operation without accessing the ceiling-mounted main unit.
Flexible Air Discharge Arrangement
The YTE-CDH-26L supports multiple air-discharge directions, including:
- Rear discharge
- Left-side discharge
- Right-side discharge
This provides greater flexibility when planning installation in compact spaces.
The appropriate discharge direction can be selected according to the room layout, ceiling structure, nearby equipment, service clearance and desired air circulation pattern.
For effective humidity control, both the air inlet and discharge path should remain unobstructed.
Approx. 200 m³/h Airflow
The unit provides approximately 200 m³/h of circulating airflow.
Room air is continuously drawn through the dehumidifier, cooled across the evaporator to remove moisture and then returned to the space after passing through the refrigeration system.
The YTE-CDH-26L is primarily a dehumidification device and should not be treated as a primary ventilation or fresh-air fan.
Where additional air circulation or outdoor air exchange is required, separate circulation fans, exhaust fans or fresh-air equipment should be considered.
Refrigeration Dehumidification
The YTE-CDH-26L uses a conventional refrigeration dehumidification process.
Humid air first passes across the evaporator. When the evaporator surface temperature falls below the dew point of the air, water vapour condenses into liquid water.
The condensate is then discharged through the drainage system, while the treated air continues through the refrigeration circuit before returning to the room.
This process provides continuous moisture removal without requiring replacement desiccant materials during normal operation.
Automatic Defrost
The specified operating temperature range is:
5–38°C
At lower ambient temperatures, frost can form on the evaporator of a refrigeration dehumidifier.
The YTE-CDH-26L therefore incorporates automatic defrost to help manage evaporator frosting and maintain more stable operation across changing environmental conditions.
When defrost is required, the control system automatically manages the operating cycle before returning to normal dehumidification.
Continuous Condensate Drainage
The YTE-CDH-26L is intended for fixed installation and continuous drainage.
Condensate can be routed directly to an appropriate drain rather than relying on routine manual emptying of a water tank.
The installation can also support connection to a suitable condensate pump when gravity drainage is not practical.
For gravity drainage, the drain line should maintain a continuous downward slope and should be installed without unnecessary upward sections, restrictions or sharp bends.
Typical drainage destinations include floor drains, building condensate lines and other suitable drainage systems.
Low Power Requirement for Compact Applications
The YTE-CDH-26L operates on:
AC 220V / 50Hz
Approximate rated input power:
280–330 W
This makes the unit suitable for smaller humidity-control applications where a large industrial dehumidifier would be unnecessary.
Electrical specifications should always be confirmed before production when supplying equipment to markets with different voltage or frequency requirements.

Typical Applications
Storage Rooms
Suitable for small storage spaces where excessive humidity may affect stored products, packaging or moisture-sensitive materials.
Equipment and Utility Rooms
Provides localized humidity control in electrical, mechanical and technical rooms where floor space is occupied by equipment.
Laboratories and Test Rooms
Suitable for compact laboratory or testing environments requiring automatic relative-humidity management.
Archives and Document Storage
Can support humidity management in small archive, document and file-storage areas where environmental stability is important.
Small Workshops
Suitable for localized dehumidification in small technical, maintenance or production areas.
Indoor Agriculture
The compact overhead configuration also makes the YTE-CDH-26L suitable for small controlled-environment agriculture spaces, propagation rooms, nursery areas and similar indoor growing environments.
Localized Humidity-Control Zones
The unit can also be used as an auxiliary dehumidifier in a larger building where one small area experiences a higher moisture load than surrounding spaces.
Installation Considerations
Before installation, the following conditions should be confirmed:
- Room dimensions and volume
- Current temperature and relative humidity
- Target relative humidity
- Actual moisture source
- Available ceiling or supporting structure
- Maintenance clearance
- Air inlet and discharge clearance
- Drainage route
- Condensate pump requirement
- Controller installation position
- Power supply
The machine should be mounted on a structurally suitable support system and sufficient access should be retained for inspection and maintenance.
Drainage planning should also be completed before the unit is installed.
How to Select the Correct Dehumidifier
Dehumidifier sizing should not be based only on room area.
For more accurate selection, YTE recommends evaluating:
Room Length × Width × Height
Current Temperature
Current Relative Humidity
Target Relative Humidity
Fresh-Air Volume
Moisture Generation
Door Opening Frequency
Operating Hours
Application Type
For environments with high continuous moisture generation or larger room volumes, a higher-capacity ceiling-mounted, ducted or industrial dehumidifier may be required.
YTE can assist with project selection based on actual operating conditions.
Important Application Note
The YTE-CDH-26L is a compact localized dehumidifier.
It is not intended to replace high-capacity industrial systems for large warehouses, factories, swimming pools, drying rooms or other applications with very high continuous moisture loads.
The unit is also not a fresh-air system.
It primarily recirculates and dehumidifies indoor air. Where outdoor fresh-air exchange, exhaust ventilation or stronger room-air circulation is required, additional ventilation equipment should be designed separately.
